I have heard a mega church preacher say,”…if we as a church all paid tithes as a whole than we as a church would have no need…WE WOULD LACK NOTHING!” This is emphatically ,scripturally,and totally FALSE.
32. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. -Acts 4.32-35
These believers did not pay a tenth of their earnings to the church – NO THEY GAVE ALL THEY HAD!!!
Those who were called out by the Spirit of the Most High laid all at the feet of the apostles and then the apostles bought a summer home and spread the gospel in a 65 million dollar jet, no the apostles spread out the possessions to the believers “so there was no LACK among them”.
Could a million dollar mortgage be manipulating the message on tithes.
