Could you be confusing the conviction of the Holy Ghost as offense, and mistaking correction for division.

Offense is a stumbling block or a snare the cornerstone. The cornerstone that the builder rejected is the stumbling block called: Yeshua!

Something that causes a person to be hurt is to be offended, however it is also the tugging of the Spirit correcting you reminding you of His word gently requesting for your submission to the freedom found in our KING’s truth.

Correction is to make something right, to fix an error.

Don’t misread the correction of the Most High as division just because it hurts.I have found that the pain caused by conviction is a hiccup compared to the outcome of not heading the correction.

Its OK; you have been socialized to think the way you do or not to think critically. The Israelites had to overcome a core belief and submit to someone called “the Most High our Salvation” this is why He was their stumbling block just as the Apostle paul’s teachings was a stumbling block to the gentiles.
