corruption of love

(poem.2)

We made it through the first leg of the plague

Now we prep for the famine

I’m not afraid of the spaceships

It’s the racist with grenades

That I examine

I disengage from the maze

I don’t cooperate to grow in indecency

To operate at a low frequency

I give praise to the Ancient of Days That I’m saved and still standing

I’m not enslaved to the ways of mammon

My heart is brave So when I start to stray I know it’s because I’m trapped inside The lack of my understanding My speech can reach beneath the surface To chase away your fear These verses aggravates despair But activates purpose I pray my poem becomes art therapy A deep feeling when you hear it Each lyric is a healing exhibit What I spoke is exquisite Seldom explicit Holy Ghost you are welcome to visit I’m thankful you didn’t allow The enemy to get to me And for the victory over the wicked Your not the author of confusion

I’m grateful for the solution You made vivid For every problem that is produced The youth is more likely to go to college Has more access to information But has less knowledge of the Truth.

Southern Fried Slam Poetry

ImageMe and around 200 poets from all over the United States partook in an event that will stay with me and countless others forever. It was big!!!!

I am part of the Upstate Slam Poetry Team called: SPEAKLIFE (click for video) and we had a blast. SPEAKLIFE and the rest of Slam Poetry Teams from everywhere competed in Slams and broung awareness to a vast number of issues, and vocalized a wide spectrum of beliefs. If you are ever in the Greenville, SC area and you like being inspired through poetry then you must visit Coffee Underground on Sunday at 7pm. I look forward to participating in the next Slam and perfecting my craft, bettering my ability to communicate truth in the most impactful way.

There is someth…

There is something about work for a man…it gives him a sense of purpose, even if that work is not necessarily his “dream”. It is the act of providing for his family that fulfils him, and working is proving to God that you can manage what is in front of you. David worked cleaning up sheep crap before he was given the opportunity to walk in his purpose and live out his dreams.

a working man is a providing for his family – a mans dreams can not superceed his role as a provider.
