The knowledge of who we are is told through stories of the great and terrible things weve done. These stories becomes the history that gives us a sense of identity.
We must not forget our history are we will forget who WE are, because one who has no identity will conform into any and everything to find worth.
Identity assigns worth.
This is why we often seek to obtain “status symbols” because we believe if we can have the material things – those in the controlling class have – we can identify with them…we can feel worthy.
When we are brought into the light of where we come from…what the men in our bloodline accomplished – the greatness of our heritage we can NOW identify OURselves as important without seeking to conform or obtain things to find worth.
