July 4th never represented Independance for my ancestors.

I was made free by my KING Christ, but I most certainly wasn’t freed by this country in 1776.

We must tell our story to edify OUR victories and showcase OUR courage and breakthroughs. Independence day by no stretch of the imagination is a celebration of Black peoples INDEPENDENCE.
