There several theories on the effects of the phscyology dealing with identity. What I have discovered is that when a certain group begins to identitfy with a state of being that is totally contrary to their current social identity then other groups must then adjust their social identity which will cause them to reject or accept that groups choice of identity. In a sense you are upsetting the apple cart.

If identity is the state or fact of remaining the same than a people such as Black people who have been removed from their society and indigenous culture into an calamitous represents a major upset and disruption of their normality. It is reasonable to conclude that these people must suffer from a shattered sense of identity.
In the process of uncovering the truth of our heritage we are told that to even search out the actual history of our people is carnal and un Christ like.
We are told that if we are Christ minded you would careless of the flesh and our actual heritage is carnal and doesn’t benefit the kingdom of God in any way.
My answer to this line of reasoning is: To even know what it is to have the mind of Messiah we must research scriptures and the cultural significance of the Messiah and His people as well as the context of the scriptures to properly understand what “Christ minded is”. In doing so we begin to wipe away the traditions of man and pagan adages to how we understand the gospels and the Hebrew people. To have the mind of the Anointed One is to put on the helmet of salvation removing any mindset implemented or reinforced by the the principalities of racism and wicked powers of darkness that work against our “Anointed thinking” or “Mind of Christ”.
Being ignorant to your heritage and not knowing your indigenous culture is only celebrated as holy or Christ minded by those uncomfortable with what the truth of who you are is.
Truth should never be understood as carnal or fleshly and ignorance should never be accepted as holy or Christ minded.
To have the mind of Christ is to have your identity in Christ now can you be Christ minded and still find it important to remove any and all false identities that have been attached itself to you and your people?
The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, Luke 4:18
The Messieh’s topic sentence to His ministry is very much about “setting free the oppressed” I would consider being ignorant to your oringinal “state of being” or “indigenous culture” for the advantage of another group as oppresive. op·pres·sive

Being called Black is introduced as a social caste construct or lower than state and inferior to white which is higher or superior to black so the very title of “Black” as your enthnicity or group identiy only denotes your subordinate standing.
As one removes false “identities” from there phsycye and breakes these strongholds off his people he is truly allowing the individual and his people the ability to become “Christ minded” minus the inferior mindsets that hinder the ability to establish the Kingdom of the Most High.
You are told that to know your culture and the heritage of your ancestors is of the “flesh”.
‘Flesh’ (gr. sarx) is a word vitally connected with the subject of the Incarnation. It appears in three forms: sarx, which is usually translated flesh; sarkikos, usually carnal, sometimes fleshly, and sarkinos, fleshy.
Sarkinos appears only once in the New Testament, in 2 Corinthians 3:3.
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Sarkikos appears eleven times; nine times translated carnal, and twice fleshly.
Examples of the former translation are:

Carnal in latin is Carnalos meaning: worldly, unspiritual, sensual.
Some synonoums for carnal are earthly, impure, lustful, lewd.

Is it impure to understand the truth about our heritage and unlearn the deception presented as acceptable? Is it lustful to expose the lies propagated in our history books as truth?
When we concede to ignorance as a pretense for being Christ like we have accepted darkness as our way of life and make uncomfortable knowledge our enemy. When learning, restoring, and operating in our indigenious culture is presented as “fleshly’ or “sinful” than that is to say remaining in an European Anglo Saxson dominated culture is Christ like.
It is uncomfartable to seek out the truth of our heritage and our authentic cultaral identites that have been purposely surpresed, because in doing so the perpatraitor of the surpression of our history is revealed as well as the people groups who benifited from our ignorance.
Often to identify with our indeginous culture and correct the misinformation propgated by mainstream media and acedemia on ancient people we are met with this disengenious statement:
“Color dosnt matter”
Our reply should be as follows:
Color is insignificant
Understanding the truth often highlights the lies
So it’s a knee jerk reaction to respond to historical and scriptural truth with ” it doesn’t matter” because the truth is inconvenient and makes those who benefited from the lies uncomfortable.

When we present ancient images of Hebrews its the truth that we present.
Its just the popular images of Hebrews are not historical or scripturaly accurate so by us simply correcting this error and the “spirit” behind these falsified images we are accused of “focusing on color” when in truth we are simply telling the truth.
